Temitope Runsewe, a native Nigerian who once struggled to make ends meet as a student, is today living the life of his dreams as an inspirational speaker, business coach and serial entrepreneur. From working multiple jobs to ensuring a first class honours with a Bachelor of Science in Computing from Richmond, American International University in London in 2004, then further graduated with Merit with Master of Science in Management of Information Systems from London School of Economics in 2005, speaks of a life full of adventure for Temitope.One thing is for sure, and that is Temitope’s establishment of The Tope Runsewe Company is simply his way of making his contribution towards the growth of SMES in Nigeria, via seminars, trainings and business coaching amongst others.By laser projecting his focus passion to seeing the rise of SMEs in Nigeria as an engine room of development in Nigeria, Temitope is finding that his entrepreneurship speaking and coaching engagements are being demanded more and more by businesses.Noted for his energetic drive in helping people to be more accountable and achieve their goals entrepreneurial goals Temitope, born in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, journey is unlike anyone else’s. The first of five children, his journey from humble beginnings to being head of Managing Director of Dutum Company Limited, an integrated infrastructure and housing development service provider in Nigeria, began with his move to Ibadan, then on to studying in the UK, where he studied and earned himself a Bachelor of Science in Computing studied from the Richmond, American International University in London.
Prior to his rise to the top of Dutum, Temitope juggled three jobs just to make ends meet whilst being a student on scholarship the Richmond, American International University in London. His commitment and diligence learned from humble beginnings in his formative years, led to him becoming, at age 19, the youngest resident director of the institution.
For the young Temitope, this was the first well-paying job he had ever had, and a move that put him head to head with the institution’s top management and key decision makers. Besides that, the enterprising Temitope had dabbled in a myriad of enterprising projects that included food and groceries, home delivery, sales of computers and parts, IT support services, car sales, equipment importation to Nigeria, property sales and brokerage, public speaking, playing musical instruments with a band, amongst others. Sometimes his travels would find him travelling up to 18 hours to various part of the UK simply just to buy cars on auction, then drove back to London to resell the cars for a profit.
As the Managing Director of Dutum, Temitope, who specializes in growing businesses and helping SMEs increase profitability, has been credited for his role in the growth and development of the company that has been the recipient of an award for outstanding indigenous construction company and grew turnover by 200% within 24 months in Nigeria for 2012 by the African Leadership Magazine.
Temitope, known for his passion for entrepreneurship and youth development, is also the founder Freshvine Environment Limited, a company focused on agribusiness and other ancillary services and co-founded Stonebricks Development Limited, a real estate firm focused on providing affordable luxury residential and commercial accommodation.
